Mowing & Maintenance

Picture
We consider factors such as the amount of water and sun your lawn has gotten before mowing and how quickly it grows. The faster your grass grows, the more it should be mowed. To help alleviate some of this confusion, our team of professional lawn care team usually follows the one-third rule. According to this rule, we never cut the blades of your grass more than a third of their height. This will usually mean mowing your grass every one to two weeks during the spring and fall months and every week in the summer; however, we will consider the specific needs of your lawn and state of your grass. After all, this will vary based on the type of grass you have.

Our Rules for Proper Mowing
To better understand the mowing services we provide, we will follow these guidelines for every lawn we service:
Maintain a higher cut for optimal grass health.
Never remove over one third of the grass blades.
If it has been a while since the last mow, the clippings will be long and heavy, which means we will bag them rather than leaving them on top of the grass. While smaller clippings can positively impact the grass, bigger ones are often harmful.
We switch the direction each time we mow.
We never send grass clippings to the dump, instead they are used as mulch on other parts of your property.
Our lawn mowers are always equipped with sharp blades for a clean cut.
